Today in my native Sweden they will celebrate Midsummer and it is one of the most romantic nights of the year. Girls will put flowers in their hair and dress in light floaty dresses. The midnight sun is magical and likely to induce temporary insanity (of the good kind). Girls of all ages will put seven flowers under their pillows so that their dreams will reveal who their One True Love will be.

Both dresses here would work wonderfully – romantic and floaty. I kept jewlery to a minimum for a little bit of child-of-nature-look.

Feet are bare for strolling in meadows and woodlands…

The hair is loosely arranged in a braid around the head. Lips are a light rose-colour.

That cute guy that you have been bumping into all over the grid lately, has asked you for a date tonight. You’re not quite sure if you really like him or not, but your willing to give him a chance. You want a look that is somewhere between sweet and sexy.

The crushed-silk heart-shaped bodice and flity skirt make sweet. The cleavage and subtle black lace details make sexy. The black platform stilettoes are balanced by cute little bows. An ornate crystal necklace and a bracelet in a matching black metal is all the jewelry needed.

The hair is gorgeously straight and loose, with just the front pulled away casually from the face – like you didn’t really try too hard. Pale pink/brown lips with the emphasis on the eyes – for him to drown in
. Will he seduce you….?

It’s Thursday, and like for many of you I’m sure, that means I head over to Last Call as soon as I log-in to check out the lastest releases. Today my favorite was Julieta.

I opted for a more casual or even boho look for it, with loosely held back hair and fun jewelry. This lovely dress could of course easily have gone formal too.

Make-up is soft and light with peachy lips and matching nails. Product details below the cut.

This time I’ve used the beautiful empire line (or babydoll, if you prefer) Hellenas dress from Last Call for an attempt at three different looks for the same dress. I just have to say that the texture on this dress is so lush, I can almost hear the silk swoosh as I walk. It feels expensive and exclusive.
High Society. I’m thinking swanky cocktail party in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, or in London’s Belgravia.

Elegant and classy hairdo paired with diamonds set in gold. Subtle make up and high, yet classy heels. Topped off with a gold sequin clutch – which you really can’t see so well in the pic, but looks fabulous as you walk or stand around.
Rock-chic. This look has attitude and can be worn anywhere anytime.

I like the contrast of the expensive looking silk dress with a khaki military style jacket and sturdy boots. Smoky eyes and sexy hair add attitude. No accessories needed.
Romantic. This girl just fell in love and can’t think of anything but her honey.

Keeping it simple as if she just threw on the first dress she saw, gathered her hair loosely, and slipped on a pair of ballerinas. The coin jewelry work with the embellishments on the dress itself.

Here’s an example of how versatile a dress can be. The dress in this spread is from artilleri, and even though it is rather original and particular in its design, it works in many different looks.

In this first one, which I like to call rock-chic, I added a jean jacket from G.L.A.M together with fishnets from !Wrong and calf-boots from ETD. Funky braids from Gurl6 top it off perfectly.

Exchange the jean jacket for a white shrug, this one from Blaze, and add cute ballerinas (Shiny Things), and voilà – a sweet and innocent look. Hair from ETD.
Want to glam it up? Let the dress itself do all the talking. Just add some strappy heels (LC Vamp) and sexy hair. Cuff from Earthstones.
